Loved everything about this gentle sweet story. Can't wait to share it with students.

I so agree with you, kayakgirl. I was really touched by this book; it's so simple and beautiful, and will appeal to all ages.

I love the naturalist jounal feel of this one! Each page captures Jane's sense of wonder. I am also crazy about The Bear Who Shared right now. Rayner's artwork is delicious.

I've seen The Bear Who Shared by Catherine Rayner! As soon as I read it, I wanted to post it to our reading list -- it is lovely and so original! I'd love to post it on our list, but because Ms. Rayner is not a US resident (she lives in Edinburgh, Scotland), her book doesn't fit the Caldecott criteria we try to follow.
