Such a fun story. It draws you in and I love the neverending feel of it. The illustrations are deceptively simple.

So true, Dianna, so true! This book is so intriguing -- I notice new details everytime I look through it.

Yes, the illustrations appear to be simple but then as you look at them all kinds of details are revealed. To me the illustrations are sharing history in a beautiful simple way. And, telling the story of how each of us can share history with the next generation. The two page spreads are done well. The wide white borders work well with the story. Definitely don't need words in this book. Oh yes, the end pages are great too.
