I love that the bear takes his friends on a fun ride with the red sled! Quite a bit going on beyond the words.

The colors really work well in this book. The red sled is the focus. I like that there really are no other bright colors besides the sled (it is night after all) and the boy's hat. I'm also fond of many page layouts in this book like the extreme close-up of the mouse on the porcupine and the rabbit's ears hanging out of the frame as he rides with the bear.
