Kadir Nelson is an incredible portrait artist. This are beautiful paintings of baseball players! Gorgeous!
Hard not to give this book the Caldecott, but I hope people take the time to read the beautiful story.
I am going to make sure my students know this book.
Amazing paintings and text to go with it. This may be the one to take Kadir Nelson all the way to a Caldecott.
