I loved this book the first moment I saw it -- the colors, the proportions, the "feeling" it has to it. Definitely one of my favorites!
I agree with Kris. This is my favorite of 2009 so far. Such beautiful colors.
This is definately my favorite of 2009. I love the colors and all the ways you can share this book with a child.
Ditto! This is a beautiful book. There's something about bold black lines and vibrant colors that really appeals to me.
I especially love how the illustrator fills up the entire page several times in the book (one of the first pages with five birds sitting in a tree, the "surprise" page, etc.). I think those contrast nicely with the scenes that have more white space.
This one is definitely at the top of my list so far.
