I think Anita Jeram may be British--that would make her ineligible for the Caldecott, right?
Lovely book though.
You are so correct, Ceane -- Anita Jeram lives in Northern Ireland. One criteria of the Caldecott Award is that the illustrator must be a citizen or resident of the United States.

And, I must agree, it IS a lovely book.
