Lyrical, in the tradition of ON THE DAY YOU WERE BORN, by Debra Frasier.

A gift to the world, in poetry by Liz Garton Scanlon & in pictures by Marla Frazee.

Cheers for a "quiet" book that is not so quiet or small in its huge message to us all.

This book has a absolutely beautiful message and the illustrations do a great job of telling this beautiful message. The placement of the text is done very well too. It is definitely one of those books you need to take time and look closely at each illustration to get the most out of it. My favorite illustrations are the sun setting. This book is definitely on my favorites list for the year. I think it has Caldecott potential.
