"Tadpole Rex" is definitely an extra special picture book. The illustrations are very large and bold, just the way you picture dinosaurs to be if they still walked around. Even the cover illustration is outstanding (wraps around the book). The illustrations were created in scratchboard and then colored digitally to give a luminous appearance. The shades of brown and green fit the story line well. The way the dinosaurs footprints are done in the illustrations is cool too. It must be great to be able to create such images. Definitely some outstanding illustrations in the picture book. I think it definitely deserves to on our list for discussion.
