Last Night is such an interesting and engaging little book. I loved how the illustrations took you through the story. They left a lot of room for imagination as well.

I would love to use this book with my students to inspire their stories and thinking. It's always fun to have a part in making the story what it is.

This book is unique in that it tells the entire story through pictures only—no words. Therefore, don’t count on using it to increase a student’s reading level. It can be used, however, as a writing prompt. Elementary students of any grade can look through the pictures and write the text they think would best correspond with what is happening in the pictures. I highly doubt I would use this book in my classroom, but some other teacher may very well find it useful.
