Amazing book. I love the illustration showing the inside of the bag of chalk. The children are beautiful and the melting dragon is way cool.

Chalk is an excellent book. The illustrations are bright, friendly, appealing. They have a surreal quality to them which intensifies when the unfathomable happens. The cheerful quality turns down right scary. Terrifying. But in a fun way. The children in this story are inquisitive, imaginative problem solvers. They get into trouble and get themselves out. Children will have hours of fun playing "Chalk" on the playground. BRAVO!
