I love the scale of the pictures. The cover of the book looks like you, the reader, are about to whisper something into her ear.

I agree, Dawn. I'm always intrigued by the way illustrators present their subjects, and the reasons behind it. I'd love to chat with Kadir Nelson some time!

I have to agree, Dawn and Kris. The scale of the pictures is what truly makes this book stand out. I don't think it would have had the same power without that scale.
