Happy Birthday to the Very Hungry Caterpillar!Can you believe it? Eric Carle's now-classic picture book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, was published in March of 1969, 40 years ago! Eric Carle's official website has a page dedicated to the anniversary, including a video clip of Mr. Carle talking about the book, a list of events taking place world-wide in celebration, and a form for uploading your own celebratory information. There's plenty of GREAT info at this site, I encourage any and all picture-book-lovers to check it out!
